This OSHA-compliant blended learning program combines online coursework with an in-person skills session. Designed for employees who may encounter blood or other potentially infectious materials (OPIM), this flexible format allows learners to complete theoretical training independently before demonstrating practical skills.
This comprehensive blended learning program meets OSHA standards (29 CFR 1910.1030) through a combination of self-paced online modules and an in-person skills session. The online portion delivers thorough instruction in workplace safety concepts including: bloodborne pathogen transmission prevention, PPE selection and use, decontamination procedures, exposure control planning, and post-exposure protocols. Interactive modules and knowledge checks cover hepatitis B vaccination, emergency response procedures, and exposure incident reporting requirements. During the in-person skills session, participants demonstrate practical competency with PPE and response protocols under instructor guidance. This flexible format maximizes learning effectiveness while accommodating busy schedules. Upon successful completion of both online and in-person components, participants receive a course completion card valid for one year that satisfies OSHA workplace safety requirements.
