ACLS - Instructor

The AHA ACLS Instructor Course trains experienced healthcare providers to become certified instructors in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). This instructor-led course covers effective teaching techniques, course administration, and hands-on skill assessment. Certification is valid for two years and meets American Heart Association (AHA) and hospital credentialing requirements.

The AHA ACLS Instructor Course is designed for healthcare professionals who want to teach and certify students in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). This course follows American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines and provides instructor candidates with the necessary skills to lead ACLS courses, evaluate student performance, and ensure adherence to AHA protocols. To enroll, candidates must hold a current AHA ACLS Provider certification, complete the AHA ACLS Instructor Essentials Course, and be aligned with an AHA Training Center. The course includes classroom instruction on teaching methodologies, course organization, and student assessment techniques, followed by a monitored teaching session where candidates demonstrate their ability to instruct ACLS students effectively. Upon successful completion, participants receive an AHA ACLS Instructor certification valid for two years. Renewal requires instructors to meet teaching requirements and complete an instructor update course.
