The PHTLS Hybrid Course (Blended Learning) provides a flexible approach to Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) training, combining self-paced online learning with an in-person skills assessment. Designed for EMS professionals and first responders, this course follows NAEMT guidelines and ensures participants receive hands-on experience while accommodating busy schedules. The online portion covers core trauma care principles, including rapid trauma assessment, hemorrhage control, airway management, and spinal motion restriction. Participants complete this module at their own pace before attending an in-person session where they apply their knowledge in skills stations and trauma scenarios under instructor supervision. Upon successful completion, participants receive a PHTLS certification, valid for four years, demonstrating their competency in trauma management.
The course is accredited by CAPCE for 16 hours of continuing education.
This course results in Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) Provider Certification.
