This instructor training course is designed for individuals who want to teach American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED courses. Candidates must be at least 16 years old and hold a current Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certification (or higher level) or equivalent. Through a combination of online learning and in-person skills sessions, this course prepares future instructors to effectively teach lifesaving skills in their communities.
This blended learning course prepares instructor candidates to effectively teach American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED certification courses. Participants complete comprehensive online content covering teaching methodologies and course delivery techniques, followed by in-person classroom sessions for hands-on practice. The course covers instructional planning, classroom management, skills session facilitation, and Red Cross procedures and protocols. Successful completion qualifies instructors to teach basic-level Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED certification courses to others.
This course results in First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Certification.
